ufw – Uncomplicated Firewall

ufw is the default firewall configuration tool for Ubuntu. Developed to make iptables firewall configuration easier, ufw offers a user-friendly way to create an IPv4 or IPv6 host-based firewall.

The ufw status command is used to check Firewall Status on Ubuntu. It comes configured as disabled by default and this command will reveal its status.
